Riptyde is a Heavy and Power Metal band from Essen, Germany, founded in 2019 in the rehearsal rooms of Zeche zur fröhlichen Morgensonne.
Our music blends the raw energy of traditional metal with epic melodies and powerful intensity.

Riptyde stands for a sound that merges the essence of classic Heavy Metal with the dynamic elements of Power Metal. Thunderous riffs and anthemic choruses form the foundation of our music.
Drawing inspiration from bands like Blind Guardian, Helloween, Manowar, Iron Maiden, Gamma Ray, Savatage, and Kreator, we create songs that evoke both 80´s nostalgia and a powerful presence.
Debut Album: Of Conquest and Downfall
In 2025, we released our debut album, Of Conquest and Downfall – a 17-track concept album centered around the Crusades, subtly highlighting the futility of war.
Entirely self-produced, the album was released under Hackflesh Records and marks a major milestone in our musical journey.
